In the integrated design of building services – including Building Information Modeling (BIM) – CAD tools or authoring software are used, which excel particularly in modeling and visualization and ensure compliance with the Client Information Requirements (AIA). However, these programs often lack the necessary depth for the integrated calculation of technical systems. A conventional export to separate calculation software often results in significant additional effort. This is where Dendrit CALHYDRA comes in.
Dendrit CALHYDRA: The software integrates the calculation process seamlessly into the CAD/BIM workflow. All relevant design data is transferred to the powerful calculation engine based on an edge-node model. There, calculations and simulations are performed with maximum level of detail – in the quality you’ve come to expect from Dendrit. The results are then automatically transferred back to the CAD system for redimensioning. This ensures that the digital workflow remains fully intact and is expanded to include precise, reliable calculations for drinking water, wastewater, and heating systems. Dendrit CALHYDRA works closely with leading CAD providers – currently, it has partnerships with Bausoft Informatik, Graphisoft Building Systems, and Autodesk.
The Dendrit CALHYDRA calculation and planning software offers precise, top-tier planning for drinking water, building drainage, and heating systems within the BIM environment and with established CAD systems. Pipe networks created in supported CAD systems or authoring software can be easily imported and calculated. After successful import, the pipe network is visualized as a 3D model. In addition to predefined perspectives, the view display also offers options for floor sections.
